Gluten Free pizza/Bear update

As many of you know I am gluten free (Celiac diagnosis in August). We went to a local pizzeria this weekend for their once a month gluten free buffet. It was fabulous, all of it, the pizza, stromboli, calzones, mac n cheese, baked ziti.......and Carrot cake!! As we were getting ready to leave the owner fills our hands with a large GF pizza with a smiley face and a teddy bear carrot cake!! The boys were so excited and both were very yummy!!

Our Bear is doing so well, and is making several babble noises and has said a few words. He is getting stable on his legs and is walking without assistance. He had his one year check up with the Endocrinologist and was cleared from all future visits!! We are so excited, he has gained weight (22#) and gained 3 inches in 6 months (31 inches) He hasn't made the charts and remains at less than 3%.

I love this picture, bear loves dressup and put this hat on himself.

Christmas Eve 2009

Your probably wondering why the blog is out of order...........no real reason, I just wanted to do some recent blog updates and pictures and then catch you up from our Holidays. :-) Here were are on Christmas Eve, the boys and I went to Church and had a wonderful candlelight service. Daddy was home with the two younger ones, who were sick with a cough and temperature.

Our Tree Christmas Eve! It was a blessing to get each and every Christmas card(hanging up behind our tree). Our family prays for one family each night at dinner. A great idea from my friend Julie at her blog: http://comehaveapeace.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-to-do-with-christmas-cards.html

Our snow day! January 2010

The kids were so excited for a snow day! I was excited that Ooma and Papa had brought our snow gear from NY. We had left it there last Winter when we went to visit. We didn't think we would need it since we had been in the South for two Winters with just a dusting of snow each year. So far, we have had two snowstorms and each have had an inch or two of snow!! In the 4th picture you can see the ice, there is about an half inch or so of ice under the snow.

We had a snow day!!

We had a snow day last Friday. The pictures below were taken Thursday night when the snow started (we knew about the snow day) and there were many accidents in our town. The temperatures had fallen and the snow turned to ice with packed snow on top of that. It was quite a mess out there and reminded us of growing up in the North. See that the kids have their jammies on inside out, we did that so it would snow a lot!! An old wise tale, but we had FUN!!

Bear is 2 years old

Bear turned two years old on December 28th. We were so excited to spend his day with Ooma and Papa. Bear received many nice things forhis b-day; a push mower, play vaccum cleaner (he loves the vacuum cleaner and follows mom around while she vacuums) build a bear koala bear, books, sound puzzle, toddler bed, and a 3 in 1 tricycle.
Bear is doing wonderful and making great strides in his therapy sessions. He has learned to kick a ball, catch a ball, throw a ball, climb stairs and go back down, go down a slide, put shapes in a shape sorter, build towers with blocks, feed self, and eat foods with texture. These are big accomplishments and we are very proud of him. He has said a couple words over the last couple of weeks too; dog, cow, hi, up, and bye bye.
Bear's recent blood work looks great, and his swallowing study was normal. We are just awaiting his Growth Hormone tests results and see the Metabolic Doctor next week. He also had his first skin allergy testing and is allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts, cantaloupe, and wheat showed up a little.
