We were blessed to travel with Daddy on a Business trip to Louisville, KY over Mother's day weekend. While Daddy worked, the kids and I stayed in the hotel and went swimming, had school, and walked out the door of the hotel to McAlister's Deli. It was a treat for all of us!!! While in Louisville we visited Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is a beautiful campus and so peaceful. We weren't able to get out of the car, due to the rain, but enjoyed seeing the campus. Patrick just finished his first year of classes and gearing up to take a Summer class.
After two days in Loisville we were off to Streetsboro Ohio for the Basics Conference (Pastor's conference) at Parkside Church (Alistair Begg'sChurch). There were 1100 Pastors in attendance. WOW!!!http://www.parksidechurch.com/site/c.iqLRIUOCKtF/b.1464349/k.BF38/Home.htm It was also a blessing, because we were able to attend Sunday services and meet up with Grandma (Julie's Mom) and friends from our Church in NY. The girls shopped and ate everyday, while the guys attended the conference and we all met up at night to attend the evening part of the conference (wives were able to attend at night only!!!) We enjoyed hearing from great Pastor's and from the Geddy's, who wrote In Christ Alone. Here is them singing their song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLy8ksqGf9w
We also enjoyed our tour of Truth for Life's radio ministry from behind the scenes and meet all the wonderful people who work there.
Grandma had her hands full with four children all day, but loved every minute of it!!! She brought games, candy, and crafts for each child and they ate that up. They made me the cutest Mother's day cards and handmade necklaces, which I wore to the Sunday evening Church service. :-) She is anxious to fly to TN on June 12th for a week (also her B-day week) and I am so excited to have her come!!!
We are so excited for Memorial Day, as it is a kick of for our family's Summer fun. We had our last Upward Soccer games today and both boys played very well. Goose had a party at his coaches house and all the kids received trophies. My in-laws arrive tomorrow for the week. Goose will celebrate his 8th Birthday on the 26th, we will celebrate our 9 year Anniversary on the 27th, and Bear will be 17 months on the 28th!!!! sheww....... that is a lot in just a week, but we love it!!! Bear continues to gain strength and has met more milestones this week. He can now pull to a stand, say Dada, wave, and clap his hands together. The Physical therapist that started with him just 2 months ago, says she is amazed at how much he has done in the time she has worked with him.
