Month of blessings

It has been awhile since I blogged. We have had a great month with Minnie Mouse's 4th Birthday, lost tooth, and Camping/bike trip.
We celebrated Mouse's 4th Birthday on July 10th with Ooma and Papa's visiting. She had a Butterfly theme party, ate dinner at Red Robin (complete with singing and balloons), and a special Strawberry cake that was gluten free, egg, dairy, and soy free. I wouldn't say it was super yummy, but it was very beautifully decorated. It will take some time to get used to the gluten free way. (That is for another blog, but there is a possibility that Bug and I have Celiac disease. We just got news that our blood test showed positive for the antibodies.)

Bug lost his first tooth this month and soon after broke one of the upper back teeth. After a visit to the Pediatric Dentist, we found out he has to have 4 crowns and 1 filling on his baby teeth. The poor thing!!! He will be having dental surgery at Children's Hospital in September.

We went to the Virginia Creeper trail with our Sunday school class a couple weekends ago. It was great weather and we had a great time. We camped with two other families (10 kids) Friday night and then braved the 17 mile trail down the mountain. What a gorgeous ride!!! Goose did fantastic, he got off training wheels one week before our ride!!! He rode a bicycle more in one day than he did all his years on training wheels!!

Bear is going to be 19 months on the 28th. He is doing wonderful developmentally and has reached some 14 mo. milestones!!! He is walking along furniture and walks with us holding his hands. He says momma, dada, hi, and up. He signs "more" and "night night". Such a sweet boy!! His feet remain very rigid (stiff), so the doctor has made him shoe inserts, to keep his toes straight (he curls them under when he walks) when he walks. He loves his new shoes!! He also loves his brother, Goose, and watches for him all day. Goose loves to have Bear clap and copies most anything Goose does! At Church today, Bear was playing in the steele cabinet in our SS classroom and cut his finger open. It was a deep puncture (left pointer finger) that bled a lot and made Daddy and Mommy very nervous. (Mommy wasn't in the room when it happened) It doesn't appear to need any sutures, so that is a blessing.

We are so excited to be going back "home" to Upstate NY (or Western NY) next week for 8 days!! We have a full week of seeing Grandma and Grandpa, Ooma and Papa, Great Grandma's, Aunts, Uncles, counsins, and many friends.
